We are excited to announce that the Howard University School of Social Work has recently been awarded the Leadership inPublic Health Social Work Education (LPHSWE) grant by the Health Resources and Services Administration. The grant will provide stipends for students matriculating in a dual MSW/MPH degree program, train faculty in the concept of public health social work, and place students in public health related field placements.

The purpose of the HUSSW Leadership in Public Health Social Work Education dual degree program is to increase the educational opportunities for social work students to develop an understanding and knowledge of the intersection of social work and public health principles and models.

The Board of Trustees of Howard University on September 24, 1983, adopted the following policy statement regarding applications for admission: "Applicants seeking admission to Howard University are required to submit accurate and complete credentials and accurate and complete information requested by the University. Applicants who fail to do so shall be denied admission. Enrolled students who as applicants failed to submit accurate and complete credentials or accurate and complete information on their application for admission shall be subject to dismissal when the same is made known, regardless of classification."
