In January 2022, Howard University School of Social Work (HUSSW) launched its inaugural Online MSW Program. The new online degree program will offer another educational avenue to accompany HUSSW's On-Campus MSW Degree program.

When asked about the new Howard Online MSW, Dean Crewe stated, "The Howard Brand is unique." The Online program will increase accessibility so that students may access this world-class, unique educational experience from a variety of locations and settings. Dean Inabel Burns Lindsay, first Dean of the School of Social Work, once said, "The Howard Social Work student upon graduation is Howard prepared. At Howard, we strive to provide training that is second to none." With the Online MSW program, we welcome students into this second-to-none experience in the virtual setting.

The first Online students began classes in the first week of January 2022 and will work to complete their Howard University School of Social Work Master of Social Work (MSW) degree requirements completely online. Dr. Stephen Broyles and Dr. Kendall Moody are teaching two exciting online classes. Other HUSSW faculty will join online teaching with the Fall 2022 cohort.
